Naachaas Sri Hanuman Senduram Paste is a traditional tilak which is in orange colour. It is most commonly seen in hanuman temple. Sindhur is applied to Lord Hanuman. There are two reasons, One,saffron is the colour of energy and vitality (Saffron is a shade of yellow or orange). Secondly, according to the legend, one day Sita was applying sindoor in the parting of her hair. Curiously, Hanuman asked her why she did that.
